Research

I am interested in reducing gaps between consecutive primes from 246 down to a smaller number, like 244. I think this can be achieved by introducing a new “Type 4” sum. I have been learning some algebraic geometry to handle these kinds of exponential sums. Some partial progress was made and I am optimistic this approach could work.

I became interested in analytic number theory because of one function: the k-fold divisor function. For instance, when k is 2, this function counts the number of ways a whole number can be divided into two smaller whole numbers without remainder. This function has fascinated me for the past eight years. I have been exploring its potential to reduce bounds on gaps between primes. My research aims to find out how.
